Gaming Booth

Gamers will always find time for their games. despite complex day jobs and lives, an aging console or PC, an aging self. I for one teach and attend to matters of consequence during the day. But when everyone's fast asleep, I Crawl down to my PC just to hide on my wife to borrowed a few hours with my games, sacrificing sleep.

How different is it, really, for these kids who play monotonously in the gaming cafe? it's not so bad, hearing them screaming with all of their hearts out from their online gaming bliss. What's troubling is that they never seem to do anything else but play. The internet cafe near my place closes at 10 in the evening, but the gaming shop beside it is open 24/7, and it never seems to run out of costumer, mostly high school and early college boys.

I honestly don't know who's to blame, if this is in fact a problem. For all i know, these kids are honor students who just manage their time well, balancing a book on a hand, a console controller on the other. Yet it's highly unlikely, especially when school's already started and i still catch them early in the morning, a blood shot eye from lack of sleep.

Is there really such a thing as responsible gaming? I've had my large share of gaming addiction, and it did not do wonders to my leveling up powers during my early gaming days, preventing me from showing up for classes, later for work interviews, and even later, for work itself. So i guess i'm not allowed to shoo this kids home.

5 Must do before you sit on your throne
  1. eat before you begin
  2. brush your teeth
  3. take a bath
  4. restart your console
  5. focus
